Organization: ATIS
Publication Date: 1 July 2007
Status: active
Page Count: 115
scope:

UOM-LSR Volume II describes the detailed analysis of the informational models within a Unified Ordering Model. In addition, it defines at a more detailed level of the business requirements and systems requirements needed to conduct ordering activities efficiently over an electronic interface. This includes a blending of the pre-ordering, service ordering and post-ordering activities.

Specifically, UOM-LSR Volume II-Analysis describes local service ordering as defined in the Ordering and Billing Forum (OBF) Local Service Ordering Guidelines (LSOG) documentation. The business rule requirements are developed and maintained within the OBF under the auspices of the Local Service Ordering Process (LSOP) Committee.

UOM-LSR Volume II Analysis will contain high level Use Case and Sequence Diagrams along with the Informational Models that will provide the reader a broad understanding of Service Ordering. Specifically, each model provides a dimension to the overall process:

• Use Case and Sequence Diagrams describe the transactions with key data

• Informational Model describes the data relationships.

The Informational Models are described using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The UML provides the notation used within UOM-LSR Volume II. Because of the level of complexities inherent in such an electronic ordering model, a unified modeling language tool has been used to develop this volume1.

Purpose

The document is intended to assist providers and customers in the process of conducting the analysis phase of their development steps to realize an electronic, unified ordering system.

1 The use of MyEclipseTM as the modeling tools does not reflect a tool recommendation by either the authors or the associated Industry Forums.
