scope:

This International Standard recommends good practice and guidelines for an organization to plan, perform, and improve its exercises which may be organized within an exercising programme. It is applicable to all organisations regardless of type, size and nature of business whether in the private, public, or not-for-profit sectors. The guidance can be adapted to the needs, objectives, resources, and constraints of the organisation. It is intended for use by anyone with responsibility for ensuring the competence of the personnel of the organisation, particularly the leadership of the organisation and those responsible for managing exercises.
