The present document specifies the Basic Transport Protocol (BTP) for the transport of packets among ITS stations. It resides on top of the GeoNetworking protocol specified in EN 302 636-4 and below the ITS-S facilities layer. It provides an end-to-end, connection-less and unreliable transport service.
