This specification2 covers molybdenumalloy steel plates, intended particularly for boilers for stationary service and other pressure vessels.

Material under this specification is available in three grades having different strength levels.

The maximum thickness of plates is limited only by the capacity of the composition to meet the specified mechanical property requirements; however, current practice normally limits the maximum thickness of plates furnished under this specification.

NOTE-The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard.
