scope:
This standard relates to awnings, awning curtains, ceremonial awnings and curtains, darken ship door screens, smoke screens, boat covers, boat canopies, weather screens and covers for weather deck equipment as fitted in RN ships.
The allocation of the various items listed above, to particular ships, is laid down in the relevant ship class drawings and specifications.
This standard does not show details of awning stanchions which are in NES 162 Part 3.
