The report treats fluence, flux density, energy fluences, energy flux density, kerma and kerma rate and builds on the base of previous recommendations relating to these quantities, particularly those set out in ICRU Report 10b, Physical Aspects of Irradiation. Report 13 includes major sections on (1) characteristics of neutron fields, (2) measurement of thermal neutron flux density, (3) specifications of fast and intermediate neutron fields and (4) kerma.
