scope:

Purpose.

To establish Department of the Navy policy for participation in the Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) in accordance with references (a) and (b).

Applicability.

Applicable to all Naval and Marine Corps Systems Commands, shore activities and program offices engaged in, or responsible for research, design, development, testing, production, procurement, maintenance or logistics support of naval systems and materiel. Fleet activities are encouraged to participate on a voluntary basis.
