Scope:

DESCRIPTION

A. This section specifies the furnishing, installation, and connection of the low voltage power and lighting wiring. SPEC WRITER NOTE: HCF Type AC cable may be used in Health Care Facility only if existing conditions warrant its use.

Definitions: The term HCF Type AC cable, as used in this specification, shall mean Type AC cable in accordance with the National Electrical Code with an insulated equipment grounding conductor, an internal bonding strip of copper or aluminum and the outer metal armor or sheath of the assembly shall be approved and identified as an acceptable grounding return path. //
