The objective of this standard is to communicate issues that need to be considered when producing designs for safety signalling systems, and to assist those required to audit the work.

This standard does not cover specific application design or configuration issues, which shall be described in project particular specifications or other associated project documents.

Purpose

This standard sets out the present level of LU functional and performance requirements for the safe and reliable system design of conventional, fixed block, wayside signalling.
