This module describes the strategy for conducting maintenance on CCS systems and includes:

  • Planned Inspections 
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance 
  • Corrective Maintenance Activities

It includes maintenance of active level crossing assets maintained by signalling technicians, but excludes maintenance and inspection of other level crossing assets (e.g. Level Crossing Managers¡¦ Inspections).

This module applies to Route Asset Management (RAM) and Network Operations Maintenance teams responsible for managing and delivering signalling maintenance activities. It also applies to infrastructure projects when introducing or modifying CCS equipment on the network.

Purpose

The purpose of this module is to describe the ongoing strategy for undertaking maintenance on Control, Command and Signalling (CCS) systems for control period (CP) 6 and beyond.
