This Standard provides guidance on cleaning programmes for components/parts used in Naval oxygen systems; this includes acceptable cleaning methods, cleaning agents and cleanliness limits. It specifies the levels of cleanliness to be achieved, and to be maintained by packaging and labelling of the cleaned components until they are ready to be used. It is applicable to both Liquid and Gaseous Oxygen systems.

This Standard does not apply to systems and components intended for aviation use; it does not provide guidance on material selection or design requirements for oxygen components/parts.
