This document applies to all design types of OLE on the Network Rail infrastructure and requires:

a. Site surveys to assess outstanding campaign changes

b. The use of Ellipse to record and manage the campaign changes It

a. takes into account all approved campaign changes as defined in Appendix A.

b. gives instructions on the necessary action for each individual campaign

c. aligns with the CP5 campaign changes spreadsheet

his document applies to all personnel involved in the asset management of the OLE including Route Asset Management and Infrastructure Maintenance teams.

The document can also be used by personnel in other parts of the business as a record of the historical lessons learnt from operating the different types of OLE on Network Rail Infrastructure.

Purpose

This document is a catalogue of all approved campaign changes which apply to overhead line equipment (OLE) installed on the Network Rail infrastructure. It enables improved OLE asset performance by achieving a clear understanding of the extent of the risk of the overhead contact system (OCS) failing. These campaign changes highlight the underlining problem and the action to be undertaken.
