This specification covers thermal spray nonskid (TSN) inorganic coatings for electric arc wire spray application to flight decks. The TSN inorganic coating is applied to a steel substrate in accordance with the approved procedure. The thermal spray is then covered with one or more color toppings or coatings (sealers) as designated by the approved application procedure.
intended Use:
The coating systems described by this specification are intended to provide a heat resistant, corrosion resistant nonskid coating for use on naval shipboard flight decks.
