Purpose of This Notice.

This notice introduces the revised Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Order 8300.10, Airworthiness Inspector's Handbook, Volume 2, Chapter 164, Evaluate a Part 145 Repair Station and Quality Control Manual or Revision. This chapter has been revised to include guidance and information for aviation safety inspectors (ASI) assigned to U.S.-certificated repair stations that perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and modifications on civil aeronautical products under the regulatory control of Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) and approve those products for return to service.
