This procedure provides the approach to be applied by Route Operations Controllers when dealing with gas escapes (controlled and uncontrolled) or gas emergencies that affect the Network Rail infrastructure.
PURPOSE
This procedure sets out the framework in which Route Operations Control manages gas escapes (controlled and uncontrolled) and gas emergencies. It provides information on who to contact in an emergency and what they should do if informed of a gas escape or gas emergency
