Purpose of This Notice.

This notice introduces the revised Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Order 8300.10, Airworthiness Inspector's Handbook, Volume 2, Chapter 168, Evaluate an EASA Supplement to a Repair Station and Quality Control Manual. This chapter contains guidance and information for aviation safety inspectors (ASI) assigned to U.S.-certificated repair stations that perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and modifications on civil aeronautical products under the regulatory control of the EASA where the agency has issued an EASA Part 145 approval to a U.S.-based repair station.
