This standard applies to all Abnormal Load notifications received by Network Rail. It covers overline bridges, tunnels and culverts that carry road vehicles for which Network Rail has responsibility, either as the owner or as a result of specific agreement.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to define the requirements for the management of the movement of Abnormal Road Loads over Network Rail structures. These procedures form a control barrier against the threat of overloading by live loads to structures.
