Introduction

This track work information (TWI) sheet explains how to inspect, adjust and maintain flat bottom adjustment switches. An inspection must be carried out to scope the work required to maintain tolerances. This could require adjustment and maintenance of the switch in a single visit. Dimensional adjustments must be carried out first. Bullhead adjustment switches should be replaced with a flat bottom switch with welded up transition rails. This job covers:

• Associated works - maintain
• Adjusting the adjustment switch in CWR and jointed on flat bottom track
