Introduction 

This Track Work Instruction covers how to measure the stagger in an obtuse crossing and then check that it is correct.

Thermal movements, or other factors, can cause creep that may r alter the stagger. This will cause incorrect gauge!

If timbers, and/or rails, are being changed it is essential to ensure that they are installed with the correct stagger.
