inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 November 1996
Status: inactive
Page Count: 13
ICS Code (Welded joints and welds): 25.160.40

Specifies micro hardness tests on transverse sections of welded joints of metallic materials with high hardness gradients. It covers Vickers hardness tests in accordance with ISO 6507-1 and/or ISO 6507-2, normally with test loads of 0,98 N to 49 N (HV 0,1 to HV 5). Testing should be carried out to ensure that the highest and/or the lowest level of hardness of both parent metal and weld metal is determined.
