Water - Determination of zinc content by atomic absorption spectrophotometry (flame technique)

inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 February 1977
Status: inactive
Page Count: 2
ICS Code (Examination of water for chemical substances): 13.060.50
scope:

This standard specifies a method for the determination of the zinc content of water by means of atomic absorption spectrophotometry (flame technique). It applies to aqueous sollutions that have to be clear or have to be centrifuged or filtered. The detection limit depends on the equipment used, generally speaking zinc contents starting at 5 µ g/l can be determined. For contents lower than 50 µ g/l an extraction method is recommended.
