Is for submersible pumps and pump units described as rotodynamic submersible pumps. In general submersible pumps are defined as being terminated by their inlet and outlet branches as well as the free cable end. Submersible pumps used in this European Standard denotes a pump which in its normal use is, or may become, completely or partly immersed. Submersible pumps may have motors where the winding are dry, immersed in oil or immersed in the liquid to be pumped. They may be dry installed, partly or fully submerged in the pumped liquid.
