scope:
Specifies the characteristics for the applications of pipes, fitting, valves, for polyethylene (PE) piping system (service lines and main lines) intended for use for the supply of gaseous fuels. In conjunction with one of the parts 2 to 7 of EN 1555, it is applicable to PE pipes, fittings, valves, their joints and to joints with components of PE and non-plastics materials intended to be used under the following conditions: a) a maximum operating pressure, PMS, up to and including 10 bar; b) an operating temperature of 20°C as a reference temperature.
