This module covers details to be contained within both cable schematics and cable core plans produced for new and altered installations on Network Rail infrastructure.

The module also gives examples of power distribution design as best practice.

Unless it it forms part of the functional requirements,details of tail cables feeding ground mounted equipment shall not generally be shown on cable plans. Design of new power and alterations to existing supply feeder arrangements above 120v are now covered by NR/L2/SIGELP/27417 and design details shall follow this standard.

Purpose

This module details the requirements for signalling cable plans and power distribution that shall be produced as part of the design deliverables, with the aim of promoting consistent presentation of information and avoiding ambiguity
