Preface

This is the first edition of CSA A123.22, Self-adhering polymer modified bituminous sheet materials used as steep roofing underlayment for ice dam protection, which is an adoption, with Canadian deviations, of ASTM International (American Society for Testing and Materials) Standard D 1970-01, Standard Specification for Self-Adhering Polymer Modified Bituminous Sheet Materials Used as Steep Roofing Underlayment for Ice Dam Protection.

This Standard was reviewed for Canadian adoption by the CSA Technical Committee on Bituminous Roofing Materials, under the jurisdiction of the Strategic Steering Committee on Building Products and Systems, and has been formally approved by the Technical Committee. A list of the members of the Technical Committee is available upon request.
