AIM

The aim of this agreement is to define and explain the minimum level of aircraft crash, rescue and fire fighting equipment required to conduct fire and rescue operations on aircraft involved in incidents on aviation capable NATO maritime vessels. The basic aim being to achieve the following:

a. To safe guard the vessel and save life.

b. To minimise damage to the vessel and aircraft.

c. To make safe any special risks.
