scope:

PURPOSE

The purpose of this Marshall Work Instruction (MWI) is to establish responsibilities and provide instructions for obtaining graphic and publication production services, complying with the NASA Style Guide, and submitting graphic and publication products through the Communications Material Review (CMR) process.

This MWI covers the following:

Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and organizational responsibilities.

Requests for graphic and publication production services.

Implementation of NASA graphics standards utilizing the NASA Style Guide and meeting industry technical production standards.

Implementation of graphics and publications products through the CMR process and other approval processes.

APPLICABILITY

This MWI applies to the personnel, programs, projects, and activities at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) and MSFC's Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF), including contractors and resident agencies to the extent specified in their respective contracts/agreements. ("Contractors" for purposes of this paragraph include contractors, grantees, Cooperative Agreement recipients, Space Act Agreement partners, or other agreement parties.)
