Purpose. This instruction provides policy and procedures for the assignment of officers (O-6 and below) for duty on the Joint Staff in accordance with the references.
Applicability. This instruction applies to the Joint Staff and all Service components. Instruction does not apply to reservists performing in temporary active duty status and not assigned to a validated funded war-time allocation.
