scope:
PURPOSE.
This Manual provides guidance for maintaining and regulating the professional responsibility of all lawyers and staff within the Coast Guard who are assigned to military legal billets and to civilian lawyer, paralegal and legal support positions or those otherwise authorized to practice law. It establishes the Coast Guard Legal Rules of Professional Conduct (CGLRPC) as well as specifies procedures for receiving, processing and taking action concerning complaints of professional misconduct made against lawyers.
