inactive, Most Current
Organization: SNZ
Publication Date: 1 January 1991
Status: inactive
Page Count: 6
scope:

This method covers the determination of the particlesize distribution of an aggregate down to the 75 μm fraction by wet sieving. It is applicable to all materials including granular materials containing appreciable amounts of cohesive or non-cohesive fine particles.

NOTE- Another version of this test is used for testing soils (see NZS 4402, Test 2.8.1). There are differences in the washing procedures for the two tests but both should give similar results.
