Organization: GMKOREA
Publication Date: 19 June 2006
Status: active
Page Count: 5
scope:

This test method applies to determination of thermal properties at a specified condition for thermoplastics used for automobiles.

There are four methods depending on applied load and heating rate.

Method A/50: Load 9.81 N, heating rate 50°C/h

Method A/120: Load 9.81 N, heating rate 120°C/h

Method B/50: Load 49.5 N, heating rate 50°C/h

Method B/120: Load 49.05 N, heating rate 120°C/h

This standard shall not apply to materials having wide softening temperature range, such as ethyl-cellulose, soft polyvinylchloride and polyvinylidenechloride.

PURPOSE

This standard is used to determine the temperature at which thermoplastics are softened when being heated.
