This Recommendation defines basic interfaces, interactions and security considerations of online trusted third party (TTP) services for secure end-to-end data communication.

This Recommendation also identifies online TTP services which can be used to support secure endto- end data communication which is a connection-oriented communication between two entities with no eavesdropping, injection and modification of data, unauthorized access and repudiation.
