Determination of Measurement Uncertainties in Photometry Supplement 2: Spectral measurements and derivative quantities
Organization: | CIE |
Publication Date: | 1 January 2018 |
Status: | active |
Page Count: | 81 |
scope:
The primary concern of this document is the origin and treatment of correlations in measured spectral values and their propagation through the various operations commonly applied to obtain various quantities of interest. Examples for a number of such quantities and their uncertainties are given, including the propagation of correlations through calibration against a reference artefact. Examples are also given for uncertainty propagation through Monte-Carlo simulation, including the treatment of correlations in the input values
While specific examples are given to illustrate the importance of correlations, a full uncertainty treatment of all the influence components for each example is not given. Representative values for uncertainties of a medium quality measurement are applied to all examples, where the influence components are treated by generic type, but results are presented in such a way that they can be scaled by influence components for a particular system and application
