Includes: This work instruction gives examples of the method to be adopted for Isolation and Earthing of 25kV SMOS equipment, at sites where the equipment is installed on separate pallet structures in compounds clear of any overhead line equipment, such that inspection, maintenance and removal work can be undertaken without Isolation and Earthing of any track OLE.

It applies only to sites west of Maidenhead ATFS.

The typical switching schedules referred to in this document are for taking an Isolation and Earthing only.

Returning equipment to service will need to be considered based on the scenario, with switching schedule prepared accordingly.
