This instruction provides policy for operating HC-130 and CSAR MC-130 aircraft. It is an original source document for many areas but restates information found in aircraft flight manuals, flight information publications (FLIP), and other Air Force directives. When guidance in this AFI conflicts with another basic/source document, that document takes precedence. For matters where this AFI is the source document, waiver authority is in accordance with (IAW) paragraph 1.4 ACC/A3JO, Personnel Recovery Operations, has overall responsibility for the administration of this volume.
