This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of sheet, strip, and plate 0.025 to 3.000 inches (0.64 to 76.20 mm), inclusive, in nominal thickness.

Application

These products have been used typically for parts requiring a combination of high strength and toughness and good creep resistance up to 1000 °F (538 °C) but usage is not limited to such applications.

Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause these products to become subject to stress-corrosion cracking; ARP982 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
