Purpose and Scope

This test method is for the determination of dimensional (length and width) changes of garments when subjected to home laundering procedures. Four washing temperatures, three agitation cycles, and four drying procedures provide standard parameters to represent common home care options.

This method may not be applicable to garments made of certain stretch fabrics.
