The Durability and Damage Tolerance Control (DADTC) Plan (DADTCP) describes the tasks necessary to ensure compliance with the durability and damage tolerance requirements contained in 5.1.4 of MIL-STD-1530, Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP). The DADTCP includes the application of engineering design and analysis, quality assurance (QA), nondestructive inspection (NDI), manufacturing, structural certification, and maintenance to prevent damage initiation, damage growth, functional impairment, and loss of residual strength that could compromise structural safety or require costly maintenance actions.
