Organization: GMKOREA
Publication Date: 1 July 2011
Status: inactive
Page Count: 4
scope:

This specification applies to molded components as polyurethane foam-integral skin on the relevant engineering drawing.

PURPOSE

This material specification covers the general requirements for molded parts made from a semi hard polyether type polyurethane foam, which forms, through the use of special processing and tooling techniques, a virtually impermeable skin, which generally requires no additional finishing. The process is commonly known as the "integral skin" process. Such components generally contain metal or plastic reinforcements.
