PURPOSE. Pursuant to the authority vested in the Secretary of Defense under Section 113 of reference (a) and consistent with Sections 705, 991, 3013, 5013, and 8013 of reference (a) and the policies in reference (b).

APPLICABILITY AND SCOPE. This Directive applies to the Office of the Secretary of Defense; the Military Departments; the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; the Combatant Commands; the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense; the Defense Agencies; the DoD Field Activities; and all other organizational entities in the Department of Defense (hereafter collectively referred to as the "DoD Components").

The qualifying contingency locations and Aerial Ports of Debarkation for USCENTCOM are as shown in Appendix U of the Joint Federal Travel Regulation (reference (d)).
