This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of plate 0.250 to 5.500 inch (6.35 to 139.70 mm), inclusive in nominal thickness (see 8.5).

Application

This plate has been used typically for parts requiring higher tensile strength than AMS4203 (7010-T7351) or AMS4205 (7010-T7451), resistance to exfoliation corrosion, and fracture toughness, but usage is not limited to such applications.
