PURPOSE.
In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5124.02 (Reference (a)), this instruction reissues DoD Instruction (DoDI) 1310.01 (Reference (b)) to update policy, responsibilities, and procedures to determine the dates of rank and precedence of commissioned officers on the active-duty list and on the reserve active-status list.
