This standard states the technical requirements for the design, manufacture, type and routine testing of limited fire hazard and non-limited fire hazard (i.e. Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) sheath) copper pilot cables for rated voltages of 1000V, fibre optic cables, associated copper pilot cable boxes, fibre optical cabinets and accessories for use on non-safety-critical low voltage circuits on The System such as:
a) Electrical protection connections between substations and between substations and control centres;
b) SCADA connections between substations and control centres
c) Other similar connections.
Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to apply technical requirements for Equipment and systems on the London Underground (LU) power system through the inclusion of a technical Specification.
