This specification defines the minimum technical requirements related to metallic coatings intended to be applied to metallic structures, by Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG), Thermal Spray (TS) or by High Velocity Thermal Spray (HVTS).

It includes a general part and one Appendix.

APPENDIX A:

Qualification and Application of High Velocity Thermal Spray (HVTS) Cladding for internal erosion / corrosion prevention of metallic process equipment (Offshore - Onshore)

General part and Appendix A are based on ISO standards, as follows:

1. Metalizing by Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG) as per ISO 1461, with operating temperature <200°C;

2. Thermal Spray Coating by zinc or aluminium alloys as per ISO 2063-2, with operating temperature <200°C;

3. Thermal Spray Coating by zinc or aluminium alloys as per ISO 17834, with operating temperature >200°C as per selected alloy;

4. High Velocity Thermal Spray coatings as per Appendix A and related reference standards.
