This Specification defines the minimum technical requirements related to spray on Passive Fire Protection (PFP) coating systems, intended to be applied to external surfaces of offshore and onshore structures and related components, including process tanks and vessels.

The PFP systems considered by the present document are those based on intumescent epoxy and intumescent hybrid systems, for protection against:

• Hydrocarbon Fire: "H" Class

• Jet-Fire: "J" Class

This specification does not apply to hazards identification, risks associated with fire and explosion in the conceptual and design stages in the process flow, and process safety systems.

This specification does not apply to the definition of areas at risk of fire or to the identification of structures subject to the application of the PFP system.
