scope:
GENERAL
The relays covered by this specification are for general railway signalling purposes, i.e. line circuits, control circuits etc. where special characteristics such as a.c. immunity, slow release etc. are not required
These relays must not be used to break circuits in which the energy dissipated at the contact exceeds the limit given in clause 12.1. In general, this means that equipment such as lever locks must be spark quenched.
Relays to this specification shall be of' such form or forms as to permit the use of either one single winding or two electrically separate windings. (See clause 11.1)
This specification relates to design requirements for miniature tractive armature d.c. neutral line relays of the plug-in type for use in railway signalling circuits.
