Fine ceramics thin films are used for optical components such as interference filters and anti-reflective films. Even though spectral reflectance of fine ceramics thin films is specified for each product, the refractive index and optical properties change when the thin films are exposed to a humid atmosphere, resulting in the change in optical reflectance. This standard specifies the procedure of measuring the spectral reflectance of the fine ceramics thin films in an atmosphere with various relative humidity by using a general-purpose spectrophotometer.
