This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of bars, wire, forgings, flash welded rings 4.000 inches (101.60 mm) and under in nominal diameter or least distance between parallel sides, and stock for forging and flash welded rings of any size.

Application

These products have been used typically for parts requiring good weldability and high strength-to-weight ratio operating from -250 to -423 °F (-155 to -255 °C), but usage is not limited to such applications. The room and elevated temperature strengths of this alloy are lower than those of AMS4926 and AMS4966.
