This document specifies an ultraviolet (UV) fluorescence test method for the determination of the sulfur content of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) containing up to 0,35 % (m/m) halogens, and having sulfur contents in the range of 2 mg/kg to 50 mg/kg. This test method does not detect sulfur compounds that do not vaporize under the conditions of the test. NOTE For the purposes of this document, the terms '% (m/m)' and '% (V/V)' are used to represent respectively the mass fraction and the volume fraction. WARNING - The use of this standard can involve hazardous materials, operations and equipment. This standard does not purport to address all the safety problems associated with its use.
