Scope.
This Standard provides DoD Policy, general instructions, and minimum procedures to be used by the Military Services and the DLA in performing quality assurance, quality surveillance and shelf-life extension functions of U. S. Government-owned packaged fuels, lubricants, and related products worldwide at all locations except product procurement facilities that are covered by requirements contained in the contract. Requirements for procurement needs may be derived from this document as necessary. The information contained herein is appropriate to quality assurance where applicable. This Standard does not cover type A conformance testing, type B-1 transport testing, type B-3 contamination testing or type C identification testing.
